No ano em que completa 13 anos de existência, o quarteto Sururu Na Roda lança o DVD e CD Sururu Na Roda Ao Vivo. Neste novo trabalho, o grupo formado por Nilze Carvalho, Fabiano Salek, Sílvio Carvalho e Juliana Zanardi resume uma trajetória de talento marcada pela originalidade, público cativo e o equilíbrio entre juventude e maturidade conquistado ao longo de sua carreira musical.

“O projeto contempla a tal Geração Lapa pelo viés da história do samba, quando o gênero há muito já não nasce mais, necessariamente, da base da sociedade ou das comunidades pobres dos morros cariocas”, diz Ricardo Moreira, diretor artístico do Sururu na Roda Ao Vivo, referindo-se ao tradicional bairro da boemia carioca.

A apresentação foi gravada no dia 31 de julho de 2012, no Espaço Tom Jobim, Rio de Janeiro, e contou com um misto de releituras emblemáticas e composições próprias do grupo.
